Canoe from Dillingen to Echternach
After a week of record-breaking temperatures, Friday called for a change of pace:
jumping into the boats, connecting with nature, and recharging our batteries together.
Following an intensive period of deadlines and a true heatwave with temperatures soaring up to 40°C across Luxembourg, it was time for a creative pause — and a much-needed cooldown.
Together we traded construction sites and screens for paddles. Under beautiful sunny skies, our route took us from Dillingen along the Sauer river all the way to Echternach.
Spending the day navigating the river showed once again that project success depends on tight coordination: just like managing complex planning phases, moving a canoe efficiently requires a clear direction, precise timing, and everyone paddling in the exact same rhythm.
Of course, maintaining perfect balance isn’t just a challenge on site — two of our two-person teams took the “cooldown” a bit too literally and ended up capsizing. Luckily, at 40°C, a brief swim was the perfect reward for our athletic efforts.
We wrapped up the day together in the historic center of Echternach with relaxed conversations and a great dinner
With milder temperatures, cleared heads and a strong team spirit, we are back at our desks!
